Conor is national All Star athlete

MAYO athlete Conor Cusack, from Lake District AC, has been honoured with an All Star National Award from Athletics Ireland at a gala ball in the Tullamore Court Hotel.

Conor was presented with the prestigious Breda Synnott Cup for being recognised as the overall male athlete of the International Celtic Games where he won the gold medal in javelin.

It is a tribute to Conor's talent to win this significant award at only 15 years of age.

Receiving the award sums up a massive year in javelin for Conor where, at 15, he has broken the Irish national record by over 10 metres and is ranked second in Ireland at Under 23.

He is truly an inspirational athlete.
