Special meeting of Mayo County Council on planning

A SPECIAL meeting of Mayo County Council to discuss the reinstatement of planning matters as an item on the agenda for each municipal council meeting has been fixed for Monday next, July 30.

The meeting, at Áras An Chontae, will be held at 2 p.m.

Twenty-three members of the county council have requested the cathaoirleach, Councillor Blackie Gavin, to instruct the council's meetings administator to convene the meeting.

The councillors have further requested the chief executive, Peter Hynes, to be in attendance.

There will be one item on the agenda – to discuss the reinstatement of planning as an item on the agenda for each municipal council as heretofore and provide planning staff as per the custom and previous practice.
