Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to attend Other Voices concert in Ballina tonight

AN Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is in Mayo this evening to attend the Other Voices concert in the 225-year old St. Michael’s Church in the heart of Ballina for the live TV recording.

Commenting on the visit, Mayo Fine Gael general election candidate Alan Dillon said: "I’m absolutely delighted that An Taoiseach will be in Ballina attending the Other Voices concert in St. Michaels Church which represents a fantastic opportunity to showcase the remarkable cultural talent and gifts the town possesses in music and the arts.

“Ballina this weekend is a hive of Irish and international artists – whose sole purpose is to entertain, enlighten and move you, both physically and intellectually."

Eight acts in total will be filmed in front of a live audience in the chapel and broadcast as part of the Other Voices series on RTÉ in early 2019.

Tonight's live performers include Conor O’Brien’s Villagers, who will join Little Green Cars, Maverick Sabre and Westport native Maria Kelly in St Michael's Church.
