Sports Direct opens new superstore in Mayo

SPORTS Direct has today opened a superstore in Mayo. 

The new outlet in located in the former Heatons shop at the corner of Ellison Street and Duke Street in Castlebar.

The impressive store has been very busy since opening its doors early this morning.

All of the staff previously employed by Heatons, up to 30 in all, have retained their jobs.

The overall investment represents a major boost for the town's retail sector.
