Kelly’s Kitchen nominated in five RAI Awards categories

KELLY’S Kitchen in Newport has been nominated for the Restaurant Association of Ireland awards in no less than five different categories.

Shauna Kelly and her team are absolutely delighted and want to thank all the members of the public who voted for them.

The categories are: Best Chef (for Lee Byrne), Best Café, Best Casual Dining, Best Customer Service and Best Restaurant. To cap it all off, Seán Kelly of Kelly’s Butchers next door has been nominated as Local Food Hero.

The prestigious awards are run by the Restaurants Association of Ireland in conjunction with The Irish Times. The Connaught regional awards finals will be held on Tuesday, March 26, in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Sligo.

The busy café/restaurant has had a wonderful year and was shortlisted in many awards, including the Yes Chef Restaurant Awards, the Mayo Business Awards and most recently the Irish Independent Café Awards.

Kelly’s Kitchen is exactly the sort of cosy, bustling café that locals love and visitors dream of finding on holiday. Shauna Kelly has created a warm, friendly environment welcoming all comers and plying them with excellent fare.

A member of Good Food Ireland and recommended by the likes of John and Sally McKenna, Shauna is certainly following in her father Seán’s footsteps.
