Key West and The Harp collide in Castlebar darts decider

FLYNN'S Sports Bar will be the destination once again tonight as the Castlebar Town Darts League Division 2 Final promises to be a thriller, with Key West and Harp set to collide.

It won't be just the mantle of being crowned Division 2 champions at stake either as the winner will be promoted to Division 1 for next season, with the opportunity to pit themselves against the likes of Paddy Moran's, Hogs Heaven A and Stacks A.

For Key West, they have looked near imperious at times over the course of the current campaign. Relegated from Division 1 the previous season, they have won all but one of the league games and booked a place in the final for finishing top of the Division 2 table with several games to spare.

Their captain, Islandeady GAA star Levi Barrett, is just as talented with the arrows in his hand as he is with a football at his feet. With an excellent cast alongside him including Vinnie Gibbons, Paul Barrett and Brendan Ginnelly, they look ready to return to the bright lights of Division 1 at the first time of asking.

Buf if anyone can stop these guys, it might just be the boys from Rush Street. If Key West have seemed to coast along to the top of the Division 2 table, this Harp side have been forced to fight, scratch and claw for everything they've earned.

They encapsulated these qualities no better than their semi-final epic with Flynn's. 6-3 down after the first leg, and 9-5 down at one stage in the second, they looked dead and buried. But Harp simply don't know when they're beaten, coming back from the brink to win 10-9 in a sudden-death play off.

Captain Padraic Golden has a team who are filled with belief, and with talents like Paul Flynn, Jimmy Canning and James McHugh to call upon, you wouldn't bet against them.

Another packed house is expected, with action set to get underway at 10 p.m. Keywest have looked near unbeatable. Harp simply don't know when they're beaten. Something's gotta give.
