Former Mayo GAA star is off to World Cup

A former Carnacon ladies GAA star is travelling to Malaysia this week as part of the England Over-35 women's touch rugby squad competing in the World Cup.

Claire Davis, a daughter of Charlie and Marian Davis, Ballyheane, played for Carnacon in the Community Games and underage level before moving to live and work in England when was was 19.

She qualifies for England through her Luton-born mum, Marion, and she is also a qualified sky diver with over 200 jumps completed.
