International success for Mayo equestrian star

CORMAC Hanley has achieved a significant victory on the international equestrian stage.

The Claremorris star, riding Heathman Farms' Cortani, won the Spruce Meadows Cup for showjumping in Calgary, Canada, yesterday.

It followed on from his double clear on VDL Cartello in the Nations Cup for Ireland in Vancouver last weekend.
