Coleen Rooney climbs Croagh Patrick

CROAGH Patrick had a celeb climber reach its peak over the weekend.

Coleen Rooney was in Mayo visiting with family when she climbed Ireland's holy mountain.

She shared photos from the summit on her Facebook page.

It's the second time she has climbed the Reek and hailed it a 'great experience'.

Coleen, wife of former England and Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, has strong Mayo connections. Her paternal great-grandfather, Tom McLoughlin, came from Derrycoosh in Islandeady.

She still has cousins in the area, including local Castlebar Councillor Martin McLoughlin.
