Mayo to face All-Ireland champions Dublin in semi-final

Mayo will take on reigning champions Dublin in the 2019 All-Ireland semi-final next Saturday.

Dublin, who are going for five All-Ireland titles in a row, secured top place in their group thanks to a 1-16 to 0-13 victory over Tyrone in Omagh this afternoon.

As both teams had already qualified for the semi-finals, Dublin and Tyrone made myriad changes to their regular line-ups for today's final Super 8s encounter. The most notable addition to the Dublin team was Diamuid Connolly, making his first appearance since the 2017 All-Ireland final.

Dublin will have only six days to prepare for the semi-final against Mayo, which will throw in at 5 p.m. on Saturday evening (August 10) following the conclusion of the All-Ireland minor semi-final between Mayo and Cork. Against that, a number of their top players were able to rest out this afternoon's game in Omagh.

The second senior semi-final between Kerry and Tyrone will be played at 3.30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon next (August 11).
