Castlebar Mitchels begin search for new senior manager

CASTLEBAR Mitchels have begun the search for a new senior football team manager.

It follows the decision of Declan Shaw and Eamon Smyth to step down after next weekend's final Mayo Senior League game against Ballaghaderreen, the side that knocked the club out of the Mayo SFC last Sunday at the semi-final stage.

They will be joined in their departure by the four other members of the management team - Michael Durcan, Paul Jordan, Mickey Feeney and Cormac Rowland.

In a statement, the club has thanked the outgoing management team for its dedication and commitment.

There is no clear indication at this point in regard to when a new appointment will be made.
