Christmas ice skating rink promotion confirmed for Mayo

THE third annual 'Mayo on Ice' skating rink promotion has been confirmed.

It will take place at the Mall, Castlebar, throughout December and the Christmas period,

The full details will be announced shortly.

Behind the venture is Castlebar Chamber of Commerce, backed by Mayo County Council and the local business sector.

Promoter Brian McGee of Carousel Ireland Limited, Killarney, will move onto the site later this month to begin work on assembling the facility.

The promotion has proved very successful over the past two years and helped to increase footfall in the town over the festive season.
