Mayo GAA stars singing 'Fairytale of New York' is social media Christmas hit

VIDEO footage of members of the Mayo senior Gaelic football squad singing 'Fairytale of New York' proved a big social media hit over Christmas.

Captured by photographer Alison Laredo on December 21 outside Elverys Sports on Main Street in Castlebar, it has been viewed over 94,000 times to date on The Connaught Telegraph's Facebook page and its current reach stands in excess of 228,000.

Accompanying the players at the event in aid of St. Vincent De Paul Society were members of the Còr Mhaigh Eo Choir.
