Journey of a Shepherd raises €30,000 for charity

THE Journey of a Shepherd – A Collection of Photographs by the late Fr. Patrick Burke, a book compiled by Sinéad Mallee, Knock, has now sold out.

It has raised €30,000 for the three nominated charities.

This money was presented to Croí, the Society of African Missions (SMA) and Pieta House West in memory of Fr. Patrick. The three charities received €10,000 each.

Sinéad, together with the Burke family, Gurranecoyle, Barnaderg, would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who bought the book.

Special thanks to McLoughlin’s and Duffy’s Bookshops in Westport, O’Malley’s Shop on Clare Island, Inishturk Community Centre, Castlebar Parish, Knock Shrine Bookshop, Stone's Centra in Barnaderg and O’Toole’s SuperValu in Tuam, who all sold the books.
