Mayo candidate expresses disappointment in ballot paper

A MAYO candidate has expressed disappointment with the ballot paper in today's general election. 

In a post on his Facebook page, Daithi Ò Fallamhàin said neither the name nor symbol of the Irish Freedom Party is next to his name.

He stated: "(This is) true for all of our candidates.

"It was within the power of the Oireachtas.

"They never dealt with it, never gave a reason. This could cost us a few votes among some of the population.

"The others without a symbol are all independents."
