Passing of former Breaffy House Hotel staff member

THE death has occurred, unexpectedly, at Mayo University Hospital, of Denis O'Neill, 63 Knockaphunta Park, Castlebar, and formerly of Jamestown, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick and London.  

He was dearly loved husband of Ann (neèe Callaghan), formerly of Carrowskeheen, Lahardane, Ballina, and loving father of Denis (Galway) and Mary (Boston USA).

He will also be sadly missed by his daugher-in-law Catherine, grandchildren Jennifer and Shane (Galway) Rachel, Ryan and Aimee (Boston), sister Peg (Birmingham), nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and his extremely kind neighbours.  

Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

Denis was predeceased by his brother Michael and sisters Bridie, Mary and Kitty.  

Denis was aged 82 years and was well known in the community. He worked for a number of years at Breaffy House Hotel in Castlebar.

His remains will be reposing at the Kilcoyne Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, this evening (Tuesday) from 5 until 7.30 p.m.

The funeral will arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Lahardane on Wednesday at 11.40 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 12 noon.

Burial takes place afterwards in Addergoole Cemetery.
