Death of much-loved Mayo teacher

The death has taken place of Maureen Murray (née Evans), Hawthorn Avenue, Castlebar, and late of Bantry, Co. Cork.

The deceased was a member of the teaching staff of Balla Secondary School and news of her passing has evoked an immense sense of loss in the community at large.

Predeceased by her sister Deirdre (London), she is very deeply regretted by her loving family: son John, daughters Carol and Eavan and their father Frank, sister Fiona, brothers Kieran and Declan, grandchildren Oliver, Coen and Ivy, sons-in-law Paul and Steven, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

Removal from her residence takes place on Tuesday at 10.15 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, followed by private cremation.

Due to the HSE and government guidelines the funeral at all stages will be private for family only.
