Foxford throws to mark unique Connacht final

The 2021 Connacht SFC final takes place at GAA HQ, Croke Park, tomorrow.

In a year when nothing seems unusual or out of place the Mayo and Galway fans will take to the N5 and M6 respectively to once again enjoy a game of good football.

The usual hum and muffled roars from MacHale Park will remain silent on this auspicious occasion of a Connacht final which includes the two old rivals.

In 2020, Foxford created a set of county throws to help those who were away from home to feel a little closer.

Foxford were honoured to see so many people gift these throws to their much-missed loved ones. They felt having a tangible part of home-made being away from it in such a strange and frightening time brought a sense of comfort and warmth.

As two tribes go to war, Foxford took their Mayo and Galway throws out for a test run.

A car boot picnic on the road to Croker – reminiscent of so many past journeys up from the west to watch our county heroes take on the opposition.

Sunday, July 25 – jerseys will be washed and hung to dry, pitches will be quiet as we wait and watch those much longed for sixty minutes of sport.
