Investment in growth of south Mayo secondary school

The secondary school in Ballinrobe is growing.

The board of management at Ballinrobe Community School has sought planning permission for the construction of a single storey extension to the existing school.

Ballinrobe Community School is based at Convent Road in the town.

The facility first opened in September 1990 as a result of the amalgamation of three second level schools in the town.

Since then it has gained a reputation as a progressive school, constantly evolving to improve the student experience.

It has an enrolment of approximately 700 students.
