PATRICK JOSEPH BARRETT, BELMULLET

Patrick Joseph Barrett (better known as P.J.), Toorglas West, Belmullet, peacefully at the Sonas Tí Aire Nursing Home, Belmullet on November 28, 2021.

Predeceased by his parents and siblings. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his devoted and loving wife Annie Kate, stepdaughter Ann Marie and her husband Pat Barrett, his grandchildren Michelle and Martin, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Remains will repose at the residence of Ann Marie and Pat Barrett, Logmore, Belmullet, on Tuesday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock with funeral arriving at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet, at 8 o’clock. The wake will be walk through only and refrain from hand shaking. The house will remain private at all other times. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in Glencastle New Cemetery.

AUSTIN GIBBONS, CASTLEBAR

Austin Gibbons, Lisnaponra, Castlebar. Peacefully at the Mayo Hospice.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Martina, Brother Patrick (London) Sister Mary (New York), Aunt Sadie Sugrue (New York), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Coady Funeral Home on Thursday at 12 noon with removal at 1 o'clock to St Patrick's Church, Ballyheane Via Lisnaponra for Requiem Mass at 2 o'clock. Funeral afterwards to the adjoining Cemetery.

JAMES KING, CASTLEBAR

The death has occurred peacefully at the Cuan Chaitriona Nursing Home, Castlebar on November 28, 2021 of James King (better known as Seamus), The Orchard, Spencer Park, Castlebar and formerly of the Kingsbridge, Rush Street, Castlebar and Derrynagooley, Ballyheane, Castlebar.

Predeceased by his parents and his darling baby daughter Sharon who died in infancy in May 1983, and his brother Martin, Derrynagooley, Ballyheane. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary nee Niland, his brother Pat (Oranmore) sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Seamus was well known and respected in Castlebar where he was the proprietor of the Kingsbridge Inn for many years.

Reposing at Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Castlebar, on Wednesday, December 1, from 6 p.m. until 7.30 p.m., followed by private removal to his home. Please note face masks must be worn and no handshaking will be permitted at the funeral home.

The family wish to thank you for your understanding and co-operation at this time.

Funeral will leave his home on Thursday morning at 10.45am arriving at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. MARY SWEENEY, BALLINA

Mary Sweeney (née Goonan), “Inís”, Dooyork, Geesala, Ballina, and formerly of Tallaghan Bawn, Geesala, peacefully at her residence on November 28, 2021.

Predeceased by her loving husband Pat, infant daughter Eírin and daughter in law Collette. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family – daughters Mary, Fiona, Ann Marie and Cathriona, sons Gerard and Oliver, sons in law Declan Rowland, Dale Pittendrighy, Jimmy Sweeney and Dave Grist, adored grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral arriving at the Church of St. Colmcille, Geesala on Wednesday afternoon for Funeral Mass at 2 o’clock followed by burial in Geesala Cemetery.

TOM CRILLY, KILMAINE

Tom Crilly, New Barnet, London and late of Kilkeeran, Kilmaine has passed away peacefully at his home, in London, in the loving care of his family.

Predeceased by his wife Claire, his sister Bridie Carroll and brother, Michael, Kilmaine, Tom will be most sorrowfully missed but always remembered lovingly, by his daughter, Ursula, son-in-law, Kieran, his adored grandchildren, Aine, Mairead and Tomas, his brother John, Limerick, nieces, Mary and Geraldine and nephew, Sean and all other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Annie Mae Dolan (née Lunn), Drum, Knock, November 26, 2021. In her 90th year. Suddenly, but peacefully, at the home of her daughter and son in-law, Virginia and Michael Kilgarriff.

Predeceased by her husband John, brothers Jimmy, Joe and Tommy and her son in-law Séamus Kilkenny. Sadly missed by her loving children, Seán, Mary (S. Kilkenny, Knock), Séamus, Michael and Virginia (Kilgarriff, Knock), her dear sister in-law Norah Lunn, her son in-law Michael Kilgarriff, daughters in-law Mary, Christine and Jacinta, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relations, neighbours and many friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at the Marian Funeral Home Knock (F12 A726) on Wednesday from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. Walk through no handshaking please. Removal from her daughter Virginia’s residence on Thursday to St. John the Baptist Church, Knock, for requiem Mass at 11 a.m. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
