Reduced speed limit on N17 for Mayo bridge works

A REDUCED speed limit is being introduced on a section of the N17 at Claremorris to facilitate the construction of a new bridge.

The works are taking place at the Meelickmore/Lisduff junction on the N17 in Claremorris.

As a result, Mayo County Council has advised that a 60km/h speed limit restriction is being introduced on the N17, R320 and L5565 at approaches to the Lisduff junction – to be in place for approximately 12 months.

VMS boards are in place this week on the N17, both north and south bound, and on the R320 advising of the 60km/h speed restriction and project works.

There will be a hard shoulder closure of the N17 north and south bound carriageways north of the Lisduff/R320 junction from January 31.
