MAUREEN EGAN, CHARLESTOWN

Maureen Egan, Blackrock, Dublin and Charlestown. Retired Principal teacher of Edmondstown National School, Rathfarnham. January 30, 2022, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the tender care of the staff of St Vincent’s University Hospital.

Beloved sister of Liam, Breda and Eileen. Predeceased by her brothers Sean, Pauric and Tom and sister Kitty. Greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters, brother, brother-in-law Eamon, sister-in-law Anne, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

MARTIN WARD, BALLA

The death has occurred peacefully of Martin Ward, Church View, Balla.

Loving husband of Mary, devoted father of Louise, David, Jason and Katie.

Adored grandfather to Luke, Arthur, Hannah and Alex

Reposing at his family home in Church View on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. till 7 p.m. Removal on Thursday at 3 p.m. to Shannon Crematorium. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.

KATHLEEN EGAN, CLAREMORRIS

Kathleen Egan (née Browne), Stonepark, Mayo Abbey, Claremorris. Peacefully at her home.

Predeceased by her husband John, parents, sister Margaret and brother Thomas. She will be sadly missed by her brother John and sister Julia, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Balla Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with removal to Our Lady Queen of Peace & St. Gerald Church, Mayo Abbey. Requiem Mass on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

SEAN FRANKIE GALLAGHER, ACHILL

Sean Frankie Gallagher, Currane, Achill. Peacefully, at Mayo Hospice, Castlebar.

Predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen, parents Frankie and Sibby and brother Patrick (Castlebar). Deeply regretted and remembered by his loving brothers Frank (Manchester), Owen (Manchester), Michael (Castlebar), Terry (Currane), Thomas (Mulrany), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Casadh an Taoille on Tuesday evening from 5pm until 7pm, followed by removal to Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church, Currane. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Polranny Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.

ANNE JENNINGS, CASTLEBAR

Anne Jennings, January 30, 2022, Aughadrina, Castlebar and Alicante House, Westport Road, suddenly after a short illness at Mayo Hospice, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her parents Celia and Edward and brothers Michael, John and Richard. Deeply regretted by her loving brothers Tom, Joe and Des, sisters Mary and Margaret, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Kathleen McHale (née Hunt), Rochdale, Greater Manchester, formerly of Cuiltycreaghan, Brickens, January 25, 2022.

Predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Margaret Hunt. Loving wife of John, devoted mother of Patrick, Ann-Marie, Sean, and Siobhan; adoring grandma to Senan, Ruby, Rory, Ronan, and Raya and much-loved sister of Delia (Mary), Eileen, Margie, and Nancy; mother-in-law to Sinead and Qadeer, and beloved aunt.

Reposing at St. Colman’s Funeral Parlour, Lower James Street, Claremorris (F12 EW26) on Sunday (February 6th), from 6 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Walk through only, no hand shaking please. Face masks to be worn. Removal on Monday morning at 11:30 a.m. from St.Colmans Funeral Parlour, Claremorris. Bridie Truss (née O'Malley), Carrigaline Road, Crosshaven and formerly of Burishoole, on January 31, 2022, peacefully (in her 103rd year) surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the Staff at St. Luke’s Home.

Bridie (née O’Malley) beloved wife of the late Thomas Michael and much-loved mother of Catherine and Michael, dear sister of Martin (Arizona), Theresa (Oxford), Una (Seattle) and the late Maureen, Tommy, Nora, Margaret, Charlotte, George, Jack, Emma, Grania, Michael and Joan. Missed and lovingly remembered by her family, grandchildren Damien, Claire, Timothy and Hugh, son-in-law Tadhg, daughter-in-law Fiona, great-grandchildren Jack and Rian, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
