Guests confirmed for Mayo community radio special broadcast in support of Climb with Charlie

CRCfm have confirmed the guests for their upcoming special live broadcast outside Guineys Castlebar next Saturday (April 2).

'Climb with Charlie' will take place that day and it will see former RTÉ news reporter Charlie Bird lead a group of climbers to Croagh Patrick to raise money for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta House charities, and to send a message of encouragement to anyone coping with a terminal illness. Bird himself was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in October last year.

In conjunction with Guineys store in Castlebar, CRCfm will be having their broadcast raising funds for the various charities and loads of entertainment on the day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Special guests include former contestant on The Voice UK Chantelle Padden, singer/songwriter Bernie Heaney, local musician Mick Sheridan, Vickers Vimy, former Premier League and Irish international Kevin Kilbane, traditional musicians Molly and Sinead Coyne and what would an event be without the great impersonator and comedian Frank Forde.

CRCfm will also be giving out loads of spot prizes on the day.

You can donate to Climb for Charlie at https://www.climbwithcharlie.ie/.

All funds raised will go to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta.
