Free Charity Open Day at Westport House to aid Western Care

Westport House is holding its annual Open Day from 12 noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 28.

The Hughes family open up all of the rides and attractions in the Pirate Adventure Park for free in the hope that you’ll dig deep for this year’s charity partner, Western Care, who provide services for people with disabilities and autism all across Mayo.

Participants are invited to give generously to help fund the delivery of services devoted to empowering people with a wide range of learning and associated disabilities in Co. Mayo to live full and satisfied lives as equal citizens.

Each attendee is encouraged to donate €5 per person at the gate and to kindly remember to bring cash – 100% of the proceeds will go to Western Care.

Tia Crowley, CEO of Western Care, said: “Western Care is delighted to be associated with Westport House and we appreciate their continued support for Western Care Association while providing a great day out for families in the beautiful surroundings of Westport House."

Barry O’Connor, CEO of Westport Estate, said: “Supporting our local community and ensuring we are accessible to people from all walks of life are some of the core values of Westport Estate.

“We look forward to opening our gates for free on May 29, we hope you’ll have some fun and we encourage you to support Western Care and the great work they do all around Mayo.”

The open day to the Pirate Adventure Park provides unlimited use all day of the following attractions:

•Rides including the Cannonball Run slide, Pirate Queen Swinging Ship, Pirates Plunge Flume Ride, the Jump Around and Mini Ferris Wheel.
