Passing of Castlebar painter Robert Tynan is deeply regretted

The death has occurred after a short illness of Robert Tynan, Castle Apartments, Castle Street, Castlebar, and formerly of Leenane, Co. Galway.

He died peacefully yesterday at Mayo Hospice, Castlebar, surrounding by his family.

A painter by trade, he was widely known and respected in the community and news of his passing has evoked a great sense of loss.

Predeceased by his father Allman, brother Jim and brothers-in-law Richard and Tony, he was husband of the late Mary (née Cassidy) and loving father of Stuart and Katie.

Robert will be sadly missed by his son and daughter and their partners Emma and Katlyn, his mother Midie (Leenane), brother George, sisters Harriet (Flynn), Jean (Barnicle) and Olive (Ireland), brothers-in-law Tony Flynn, Ger Barnicle and Frank Cassidy, sisters-in-law Chris, Ann and Mary, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

His remains will be reposing at Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, this evening (Monday) from 7 to 8.30 p.m.

A private cremation takes place on Tuesday.
