Funding approved to examine feasibility of coastal walk in northwest Mayo

Project development funding of €48,600 has been approved by the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Fund for phase one of Slí Chósta Iorrais (Erris Coastal Walk).

This funding has been awarded to examine the feasibility of developing Slí Chósta Iorrais, which is located on the Mullet Peninsula in northwest Mayo.

The phase one proposal is the development of a walking trail approximately 21 km in length which connects the existing Erris Head Loop Walk in the north of the Mullet Peninsula to Cross Lake Loop Walk.
