Mayo musician, author and storyteller launching new book

THE Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar is extremely proud to host local musician, author and storyteller John Hoban for the launch of his latest book, Sound Men And Women, a gathering of stories, sayings, songs and music over a lifetime, on Wednesday, November 9.

In true John Hoban style, this event will be laced with literature, music and live performances by the Castlebar native, renowned for his utterly unique, raw and intimate approach to music.

Sharing the absolute joy, gratitude, humour and the love of many players encountered on the stage of life, this is a west of Ireland book.

As the proverb or sean-fhocail goes, 'Is iomaí cor idir scéal agus béal. Manys the twist in the telling of the tale'.

Sound Men and Women is Hoban’s second book, the first being superbly received From The Plain of the Yew Tree: The Lifetime Journey of a County Mayo Musician.
