Apartments plan for Mayo county town site

PUBLIC consultation is open on council plans to develop four homes at Lower Charles Street in Castlebar.

The proposal would see the demolition of two existing two-storey houses and the construction of four one-bed apartments. All dwellings will be provided with private gardens or external terraces.

Plans are available for viewing on consult.mayo.ie until January 24. Submissions must be made to Mayo County Council's planning section not later than February 8.

The site is beside the Tulsi restaurant, a protected structure.
