New glamping pods for north Mayo seaside village

VISITORS to north Mayo will be able to avail of new glamping accommodation.

Planning permission has been granted for four glamping pods at Doolough, Geesala, each with a living room/kitchen area, bedroom, and toilet/shower facilities.

The site is located a few kilometres from the village, with planning granted by Mayo County Council to Mikie Sweeney.

The pods are located adjacent to existing residential homes and planners found that the tourist pods would not impact residential amenity in the area or the character of the landscape.
