Mayo look to right wrongs against Roscommon

Mayo and Roscommon will be a hotly awaited weekend Allianz League clash, the Division One Round 4 encounter is set to air on TG4 at 7.30 p.m. this Saturday.

It promises to be a thrilling showdown in the Allianz League campaign and a win for Mayo would guarantee safety in Division One.

As both teams are now over the halfway mark of the season, the stakes couldn't be higher in this fiercely contested all-Connaught match.

Mayo, under the leadership of Kevin McStay, are aiming to reverse their recent downturn in form, having suffered back-to-back losses to Kerry and Tyrone, after a promising start to the campaign which saw Mayo defeat Dublin.

The pressure is mounting on McStay's men to deliver a strong performance and reignite their league aspirations. Diarmuid O'Connor limping off only minutes into the loss against Tyrone adds further woes for selectors.

Meanwhile, Roscommon enter the match buoyed by their recent victory over Monaghan, an impressive 12 point win will shorten their odds for the game against Mayo.

Davy Burke's charges will be eager to maintain their winning momentum and secure a crucial result against an old enemy.
