Land sale to Mayo football club approved

THE sale of council lands to Ballinrobe Town football club has been approved by local councillors.

It involves 10 acres at Neale Road and is subject to planning permission being obtained by the club.

Local Councillor Michael Burke said it was a great proposal for the town, supporting a club that has around 400 members, and he was delighted to assist.

The approval is a significant step in the club's plans to provide more facilities for its growing membership.
