Mayo Tidy Towns groups voice opposition to election posters
Eight Tidy Towns committee in Mayo have outlined their opposition to the erection of election posters in their communities.
The groups in Aughagower, Ballindine, Belcarra, Castlebar, Claremorris, Mulranny, Newport and Westport have made their feelings clear.
Westport Councillor Brendan Mulroy said it is important to listen to what they have to say because of the great work they carry out.
However, their wishes have not been respected by many candidates.
Councillor Mulroy said he remains committed to the No Poster campaign.
