Western Care launches monthly draw to support people with disabilities in Mayo
WESTERN Care Association has officially launched a new monthly draw that will give the public a chance to win cash prizes while directly supporting people with intellectual disabilities and neurodiverse needs throughout the county.
For just €10 per month, supporters will be entered into a draw every month to win:
• 1st prize: €1,000
• 2nd prize: €300
• Five prizes of: €150
All proceeds will go towards enhancing services and supports that improve quality of life for the more than 700 adults and children who access Western Care’s services across Mayo.
Western Care provides a wide range of supports including residential services, day programmes, respite, and community inclusion initiatives. While core services are funded through the HSE, fundraising plays a vital role in delivering additional opportunities, equipment, and experiences that are not covered by statutory funding.
Speaking about the launch, interim CEO for Western Care, Anne Chambers said: “This monthly draw is a simple way for people in Mayo to make a real difference locally.
“Every €10 entry helps us provide meaningful opportunities, activities and supports that enhance the lives of the people we support, while also giving participants the chance to win fantastic cash prizes each month.”
The organisation is encouraging individuals, families, community groups, and local businesses to sign up and help create a steady stream of funding that will benefit people with disabilities in their own communities.
Supporters who join the draw will not only have the chance to win but will also become part of a growing network of people helping to build more inclusive communities across Mayo.
Entries are now open, and the first draw will take place on Friday, March 6.
