Work on second phase of Mayo skate park set to start next autumn

There’s very welcome news for Castlebar with confirmation that the second phase of the new skate park will begin in six months’ time.

Councillor Harry Barrett elaborated: "I’ve had plenty of young people asking me about the second phase of the skate park and when it would get going.

"They’ve been keen to see it move on, so this is really positive news.”

He said the first phase has already proven its value, giving young people a safe and active space in the town, and the next stage will build on that.

“This is about continuing to invest in our young people and making sure Castlebar has the facilities it needs for the future.”
