Water supply returning to customers in north Mayo following repairs

Water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Ballina following repairs to a burst water main.

Uisce Éireann crews have completed repairs to the main, and water is now restoring to the majority of impacted customers.

Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill said: “We understand the disruption an unplanned outage like this can cause and would like to thank customers for their patience while crews worked to repair the burst.”

Typically, it takes three to four hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all affected customers.

However, it may take longer for customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
