Mayo minister meets local fuel protesters at his constituency office
Minister of State Alan Dillon has meet with Mayo fuel protesters at his constituency office in Castlebar.
A number of protesters driving their vehicles, with horns blaring, converged on his HQ where Mr. Dillon was waiting to meet them.
The delegate outlined their ongoing concerns in regard to the cost-of-living situation despite the government putting in place a €500 million support package.
It is understood the exchange was constructive in nature.
There have also been protests on the streets of Ballina today.
The business of Dáil Éireann resumes tomorrow and Sinn Féin intends to table a motion of no confidence in the government.
Internationally, concerns remain over the stability of the ceasefire in Iran and uncertainty in respect of the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
