Dull and wet midweek start for Mayo
Wednesday will begin cloudy and wet but the rain is expected to clear by mid-morning. Sunny spells and scattered showers will follow, with the chance of hail, isolated thunderstorms and spot flooding.
Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate to fresh south or southwest winds, strong near coasts.
Looking ahead, showers will continue into Wednesday night with longer spells of rain in the west and north.
Thursday will bring sunny spells and scattered showers in the morning before turning cloudier in the afternoon, with rain extending to all areas by evening.
Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.
Friday will be breezy with sunshine and scattered showers, some heavy or thundery.
The weekend will see more settled conditions develop, with highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees on Saturday and 10 to 13 degrees on Sunday.
Current indications suggest mostly settled conditions for early next week with temperatures increasing slightly.
