Interpretive centre proposal for Mayo island
A NEW interpretive centre, with additional facilities for visiting tourists, is in the pipeline for Clare Island.
Chris O'Grady is seeking planning permission for the project, which will be located at Capnagower on the island.
The planning request seeks a change of use for a building, from existing education use and general purpose rooms and study space, to be transformed into an audio-visual interpretive centre.
The centre will also have a cafe and souvenir facilities, if plans are approved by Mayo County Council.
