Mayo musicians receive funding through the Music Capital Scheme

A total of €1,066,940 has been awarded to performing groups and musicians through Music Capital Scheme Awards.

The Mayo organisations receiving funding are: Bofield CCÉ (€9,346); Keel Pipe Band (€20,571); Mayo Academy for Performing Arts (€3,645).

Individual musicians from Mayo received funding to assist with the purchase of musical instruments and equipment and they are Darragh Healy (€4,140); David Munro (€2,127); Joseph McNulty (€4,874); Ethan Henry (€1,454) and Mark O’ Donnell (€7,219).

The scheme comprises five distinct awards and provides vital funding for the purchase and restoration of musical instruments and selected equipment. The announcement relates to Awards 1, 2 and 3, which support non-professional performing groups and individual professional musicians.
