Westport Art & Music School moves to new location
WESTPORT Art & Music School has moved to a new location.
Councillor Peter Flynn, cathaoirleach of the municipal district, was on hand to perform the official opening of the school's new home at Shop Street in Westport.
Said Councillor Flynn: “Well done to Laurice Van Den Oosten and all her family and colleagues for making a lovely job of the entire building with rooms for music lessons, rehearsal studio, instruments for hire/sale and meeting room.
“At a time when many businesses are struggling it is lovely to see a local business expand and relocate to one of our key streets in town.”
Westport Art & Music School (WAMS) has been a popular creative hub since being founded in 2019 by musician/artist Laurice Van Den Oosten, operating out of The Courtyard on James Street before moving to its new location on Shop Street.
