Business community to come together for breakfast event at iQ Ballina
BUSINESS owners and managers from across Ballina are being invited to come together at iQ Ballina on Friday, May 1, for a practical breakfast event focused on protecting local businesses in 2026.
Hosted by Rouse Insurance Brokers, Protecting Your Business in 2026 will bring members of the Ballina business community together for a one-hour morning session covering some of the key risks and protection areas affecting SMEs today.
The event will run from 9.30 to 10.30 a.m. and will include networking and a series of short, practical talks designed to help local businesses better understand the cover and planning that can support continuity and resilience.
Topics on the morning will include business interruption insurance, cyber risk, key person cover, shareholder and partnership protection, and some of the common gaps businesses may overlook until a problem arises.
The event is aimed at local SME owners, directors and managers who want straightforward, relevant advice without jargon, as well as the opportunity to connect with others in the Ballina business community.
Hugh Rouse, MD of Rouse Insurance Brokers, said: “Local businesses are dealing with enough day to day without having to second-guess whether they have the right protections in place. This event is about bringing the business community together, sharing practical advice, and helping people better understand some of the risks worth reviewing in 2026. We want it to be useful, straightforward and relevant to businesses here in Ballina.”
Alongside expert presentations from Rouse Insurance Brokers and industry experts the morning will also feature real-world examples of business protection in practice, helping attendees understand where gaps can arise and what steps may be worth considering.
Rouse Insurance Brokers, based in Ballina, has long worked with local businesses across a wide range of sectors, and says the event is designed to create a space for both practical learning and local connection.
