Popular Mayo clothes store closing

MAYO is losing a popular clothes retailer with the announcement of the closure of the Born chain across the country.

The company's network of 15 stores included a very popular outlet in Claremorris, at the Silverbridge retail complex.

The closures will result in the loss of more than 100 jobs nationwide.

Provisional liquidators were appointed to the group by the High Court appointed earlier this week.

In a social media post, the company reflected on 16 wonderful years in business, thanking shoppers and staff for their support over the years.

A closing down sale is now underway at its stores across the country.
