Mayo PPN information evening and county plenary

The Mayo Public Participation Network warmly invites all community groups to attend its Spring 2026 Information Evening and County Plenary which will take place on Wednesday, April 29, at 7 p.m. in Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar.

This is a great opportunity to network with other community groups and hear from a panel of experts on a variety of topics that matter to you and your community.

The evening will include information on the First Choice Credit Union Community Fund; money and budgeting advice from MABS; Tulsa Fostering; and Leave No Trace Ireland’s newly launched Strategic Plan.

This information evening will also feature the launch of Mayo PPN’s Linkage Groups. Community participation and representation are core functions of the Public Participation Network, and Linkage Groups are the way that Mayo PPN members have input into policy in their area of operation. Linkage Groups work by bringing together PPN member organisations with a common interest, to discuss their diverse views and interests in a specific policy area, and have their position represented at Strategic Policy Committee level in Mayo.

PPN members will have the opportunity to register for inaugural Linkage Group sessions in the areas of housing, roads and sustainable travel; planning and corporate development; climate change and environment; community, integration, and recreation.

If your group/organisation hasn’t already registered with the Mayo PPN, you can read eligibility criteria and apply for membership here.

This plenary event is free, but you must register in advance here.
