MEP accuses GAA of 'bad management' over Mayo stand ticket pricing

MEP Ciaran Mulooly has accused the Connacht GAA of 'bad management' over its decision to increase stand ticket prices ahead of yesterday's Connacht SFC semi-final between Mayo and Roscommon at Hastings Insurance McHale Park.

In a social media post, accompanied by a photograph showing empty seats in the main stand, he stated: "Message for Connacht GAA: maybe review the stand ticket price rise and study chapter on customer care:

"I’m sitting on terrace with Mayo fans evicted from stand, season ticket seat that is now empty! Brutal management."

Connacht GAA said it was left with no option but to increase the ticket prices due to logistic and economic reasons.

The official attendance for the game was 15,321, a figure lower that had been expected.
