Official launch of Wild Mayo Destination Experience Development Plan

FÁILTE Ireland will officially launch the Wild Mayo Destination Experience Development Plan (DEDP) on Friday next at Ballinglen Museum of Art in Ballycastle.

The five-year development plan represents a multi-stakeholder approach to sustainable tourism development across north Mayo.

It is designed to be a roadmap for enhancing the visitor offering to achieve season extension and improve dwell time and visitor dispersion across the region.

‘Wild Mayo’ encompasses vast areas of wilderness and long stretches of rugged coastline, and yet feels intimate and welcoming, in a region stretching from the Mullet Peninsula to Ballina and Foxford.
