Emergency services called to scene of Mayo roundabout collision

The emergency services have been called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at the Barrack Bridge Roundabout in Castlebar.

It is reported that a number of people who sustained injuries were transferred by ambulance to Mayo University Hospital.

The location in question is a very busy one at different times during the day.

The incident led to traffic congestion for a period of time.

An Garda Siochána attended the scene.
