Boost for Mayo beach amenities this summer

VISITORS to two Mayo beaches can look forward to new amenities when enjoying a swim or water sports.

All-weather centres for water-based activities are progressing at Carramore, outside Louisburgh, and Keel beach in Achill.

Works are on target, with the opening time still scheduled for June 2026, local councillors were told in an update on tourism projects.

Meanwhile, down in Belmullet, at Cross Beach, access to the beach is being upgraded with a new ramp being provided.

Works on the project are ongoing by the municipal district team.
