Men’s Shed groups in Mayo benefit from funding
A total of 16 Men’s Shed Groups in Mayo will benefit from funding provided by the Department of Rural and Community and the Gaeltacht.
The Mayo Men’s Shed beneficiaries are: Achill (€2,135.22), Ballina (€3,000), Ballinrobe (€1,712.37), Castlebar (€3,000), Charlestown and District (€623.15), Claremorris (€3,000), Crossmolina (€2,433.27), Erris (€2,558.38), Glen Nephin (€1,629.73), Islandeady (€2,218.69), Kilcommon (€3,000), Kiltimagh (€457.40), Louisburgh area (€3,000), Mulranny (€646.91), Swinford (€1,436.66), and Westport (€1,695.37).
The funding will assist Men’s Sheds with their running/operational costs such as heating, electricity and insurance bills. All applications were received and assessed by the Irish Men’s Shed Association.The emergence of Men’s Sheds has been a very positive development for communities across Mayo.
