Castlebar community to come together for Darkness Into Light

ON Saturday, May 9, at 4.15 a.m., communities will come together for Pieta’s Darkness Into Light, supported by Electric Ireland - raising vital funds for Pieta’s free suicide and self-harm prevention services, and showing that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

The Castlebar walk is happening again this year and, as with previous years, organisers look forward to seeing families, schools and local clubs come together.

The starting point for the Castlebar DIL walk is Castlebar Boxing Club, beside Lough Lannagh, F23 K316.

Darkness Into Light is into its 11th year in Castlebar, with €134,710 raised so far for Pieta’s free suicide and self-harm prevention services.

By registering and fundraising, people help keep Pieta’s supports open - making sure suicide prevention services are there for anyone who needs them, free of charge.

Behind every walk is an answered call, an open door, and someone being met with care.
