Daffodil Day in Mayo county town raises €35,000 for Irish Cancer Society
A CHEQUE for €35,506, raised in the Castlebar Daffodil Day fundraiser, has been presented to the Irish Cancer Society.
On behalf of the Irish Cancer Society and the people they help, the society has extended a big 'thank you' to the Castlebar Daffodil Day committee, the wonderful volunteers in Castlebar, the Irish Cancer Society Shop, and the many local businesses that helped make Daffodil Day an even bigger success again this year. Thank you also to the schools and community in Castlebar, who gave so generously.
The funds raised will be of real benefit to anyone affected by cancer in Mayo and will allow them to avail of the vital care and support services when they need them most.
